HarperLloyd Recruitment is partnering with a leading national commercial law firm to appoint a Paralegal into its high-performing Litigation team in Melbourne.

This is an outstanding opportunity to join a sophisticated national practice working across Debt Finance and Litigation matters alongside highly regarded Partners and lawyers. About the Role
This role offers genuine variety, autonomy and the opportunity to work directly with banks, private lenders and large corporate clients.

You’ll be trusted to manage transactions, support major deals, and play a key role in keeping matters progressing smoothly from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft notices, demands, pleadings, statements of claim and other legal documents
• Manage court processes including e-filing, judgments, writs and eviction matters
• Assist with the day-to-day management and progression of debt recovery files
• Liaise with clients, debtors and third parties to obtain instructions and negotiate outcomes
• Prepare settlements, discharge of mortgages, and escalate complex matters to solicitors as required

Who This Suits

This opportunity is ideal for someone who has:

• Minimum 3+ years’ experience as a Paralegal in a similar practice area
• Demonstrated ability to take responsibility for running a file
• Strong organisational skills to manage a large number of files at a time and meet deadlines
• Good interpersonal skills to liaise with clients, debtors and internal staff
• A team player, willing to help others when necessary
• Accuracy and attention to detail
